Goal templates in Pear Suite are predefined objectives that can be reused across your organization to ensure consistent care delivery. By setting up templates for common needs—such as housing stability or chronic disease management—administrators can provide staff with a clear set of action items and descriptions, saving time and standardizing documentation.
Step 1 – Access the goal templates section
- Navigate to the left-hand green sidebar and select the Templates icon.
- Locate the tabs at the top of the page and select Goals.
- Review existing templates to ensure consistency with current organizational standards.
Step 2 – Initiate the template build
- Click the + Add Goal Template button in the top-right corner.
- In the creation window, enter a clear Goal Title (e.g., "Housing Stability Support").
- Select the appropriate Domain (e.g., Housing, Food, or Transportation) to categorize the goal for reporting.
Step 3 – Define the goal structure
- Provide a detailed Description that outlines the purpose of the goal and general guidance for the care team.
- This description will appear automatically whenever a staff member selects this template for a member.

Step 4 – Add action items and save
- Navigate to the Action Items section within the builder.
- Click + Add Action Item to define the specific steps required to reach the goal.
- Example: "Complete housing application" or "Schedule follow-up visit."
- Continue adding items until the roadmap for this goal is complete.
- These can be reordered using the grab bars (2 stacks of three vertical dots) to the left of each item
- Click Create to save the template.
- Once saved, staff can now select Use a goal template when adding a goal to a member's profile and choose your new template from the list.
