How to manage and add goals for members within the Pear Suite Platform

This article explains how to manage and add goals for members within the Pear Suite Platform. By utilizing goal templates or creating custom goals, you can track member progress across various domains such as housing, health, and food to ensure comprehensive care.
Step 1 – Access the goals tab
- Open the specific member’s profile from your dashboard or the members list.
- Navigate to the left-hand menu within the profile and select the Goals tab.
- Click the Add Goal button to open the creation menu.
Step 2 – Choose a goal creation method
- Decide between the two primary ways to initiate a goal:
- Use a goal template: Select a pre-built template created by your organization to ensure consistency across similar member needs.
- Create a new custom goal: Build a unique goal specifically tailored to the current member's individual circumstances.
Step 3 – Configure goal details
- Identify and select the Domain the goal falls under (e.g., Housing, Health, or Food).
- Enter a clear Description of the specific support or outcome intended for the member.
- Add Action Items to list the specific steps you or the member will take to achieve the goal.
- These can be reordered using the grab bars (2 stacks of three vertical dots) to the left of each item
- Assign an optional Due Date to help track timely progress.
- Link any related activities, referrals, or care pathways to centralize all relevant workflows.
- Click Save to finalize the goal and add it to the member's profile.

Step 4 – Utilize automated activity flows
- Automate goal creation by connecting templates to activity scripts.
- Configure the platform to instantly apply a goal template based on specific member answers during an activity.
- Example: Selecting "Yes" to a question about transportation needs can automatically trigger a "Transportation Support" goal.
- Ensure your team has pre-configured these templates and linked them to the appropriate flows to use this automation.
- Consult your Customer Success Manager if you are unsure if your current workflows are set up for automated goal generation.
