Understanding the activity roadmap Distinguishing between scripts and assessments The role of organization-defined flows

Within every activity on the Pear Suite Platform, a "flow" serves as the foundational guide for member interactions. These flows ensure that data collection is standardized and that conversations remain focused on the member's specific needs and goals.

Understanding the activity roadmap

A flow is the strategic roadmap for your conversation with a member. It provides a structured sequence of questions, forms, and steps to guide the visit from start to finish. Beyond simply gathering information, a flow can trigger specific actions—such as creating a referral or a goal—based directly on the member's responses, ensuring no follow-up item is overlooked.

Distinguishing between scripts and assessments

There are two primary types of flows utilized within activities, each designed for a different style of interaction:

  • Scripts: These guide you through questions one at a time. They are ideal for complex conversations where the next question may change based on the member's previous answer.
  • Assessments: These present a comprehensive list of questions or forms on a single page, making them perfect for standardized intake processes or quick data entry.

The role of organization-defined flows

Flows are typically configured in advance by your organization’s builder team or administrator to align with specific program requirements. While you may not be building the flows yourself, understanding their logic is essential. Every activity you complete is powered by a flow, ensuring that every team member provides a consistent and high-quality experience for the members they serve.
