What’s New This Week
Member Import Templates: Constant Field Mapping
Admins can now configure constant field values directly on Member Import (MIF) templates. This ensures required profile fields are populated even when incoming CSV files don’t include those columns.
How it works:
- In the Member Import template, admins can set fixed values for required fields (for example, Country).
- During import, if the CSV omits those fields, Pear Suite automatically applies the configured values.
This helps prevent incomplete member profiles that can cause issues later in CS/ECM imports, billing, or claims generation.
Organization-Level Time Zone Management
Organizations can now set and manage their primary time zone directly from General Settings, instead of relying on Claims configuration.
This update ensures consistent handling of activity timing across the platform:
- Imported activities ignore time zone suffixes in CSV files (such as “PDT”) and instead use the organization’s configured time zone.
- Activity start and end times now display correctly on member profiles.
- Daylight Saving Time is handled automatically based on the selected time zone.
- For members without an individual time zone set, the organization’s time zone is used as a fallback for activity timing and reminders.
Configuration details:
- The default time zone is Pacific Time for all organizations unless updated.
- Changes apply to newly imported activities, billing-related timing, and members without individual time zones.
- Member-level time zones are not automatically changed when the organization time zone is updated.
