Expanded Member Insurance Configuration

Member profiles now support more detailed insurance information across primary, secondary, and tertiary coverage.

Users can document:

• Insurance company
• Coverage type
• Insurance program
• Coverage start and end dates
• Active or inactive coverage status
• Additional insurance identifiers

Coverage start and end dates are optional, and previous insurance records can remain on the member profile after coverage ends. This gives teams a more complete view of a member’s insurance history instead of requiring older coverage to be removed when insurance changes.

Better Support for Coverage Changes Over Time

Claims can now use the insurance coverage that applies to the relevant coverage period rather than relying only on the member’s current insurance.

This is especially helpful when a member changes insurance while receiving services, allowing current and historical coverage information to remain available on the same member profile.

Insurance Data Across Imports, Exports, and Calculations

Additional insurance fields are connected to Data IDs, allowing insurance information to be used more consistently throughout Pear Suite.

Organizations can use supported insurance information in:

• Member imports
• Data exports
• Calculations
• Other workflows that support Data IDs

Insurance companies must still be configured in Organization Settings before they can be selected on a member profile.
