Hub Control Overview
Using Hub Control to Manage Workflow Access and Hub Billing
Table of Contents
Hub Control is a feature set that allows one organization (the Hub) to provision access to standardized workflows and analytics templates, billing configurations, members, and other setup for one or more other organizations (Sub orgs). The Hub Control tab, once enabled, acts as a control center where this access can be established and managed, allowing you to align workflows across all connected organizations. Source templates in the main hub (or modified in any organization with write access) will stay in synch across all instances of that object. For example, Hub Control allows a Hub org to manage a tailored ECM activity template and standardized data imports and exports that stay in synch as workflows are updated and reporting requirements change.
Hub Billing is another key use case that becomes possible under Hub Control. When selected, the main hub organization takes full responsibility for billing, including managing configurations and receiving payments for claims. A Hub org with Health Plan Contracts is able to share their claims configurations with a Sub Org where the work is performed, allowing claims to be generated within the Sub Orgs while the Hub inherits visibility to all members in their sub orgs so that claims can be centrally managed in the Hub organization.
Enabling Hub Control
Activate centralized tools to streamline platform management and gain full control over settings and permissions.
- Go to the Organization Settings page.
- In the Settings section at the bottom of the page, find and toggle on Enable Hub Control.
- Click Update to save your changes.
- After saving, the HUB Control tab will appear in the left-side menu, where Sub orgs can be added and managed.
Hub Billing Info
When Hub Billing is enabled, Sub organizations will no longer have access to their own claim management or billing functions.
Likewise, because managing claims for the Sub org requires the Hub org to have visibility into the member's data, this feature will automatically grant the parent organization access to members from sub organizations for whom claims are generated.
